Following a meeting held yesterday at State House in presence of the USA Ambassador to Uganda, H.E. Natalie Brown, Ugandan President, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Ministers like the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hon. Henry Okello Oreym and the Permanent Secretary MR, Waiswa Bagiire Vincent among others, Museveni gave his response to the message sent by President Joe Biden through their ambassador.
The President thanked the Ambassador for the message delivered and also commended the Government of the United States for the contribution of Covid 19 vaccines sent to Uganda.
The United States delivered 1,674,270 doses of the Pfizer COVID19 vaccine to Uganda ON September 20th. These combined with the September 6th delivery of 647,080 Moderna doses, the United States has donated a total of 2,321,350 covid 19 vaccines.
Museveni commented that this has been of great help in fighting covid 19 in Uganda and has led to a number of public places being open.
He also promised to work on areas concerning justice for individuals and families that have been involved in the massive killings and abductions of Ugandans.
