The Uganda people’s defense forces has continued to warn People who attack security officers including the UPDF officers patrolling areas in Kampala during curfew time
Lt. Col Ronald Kakunguru the deputy army spokes person says that hooligans attacking soldiers forcing curfew directives with stones and those attempting to disarm petrol might end up being shot at
“People who operate bars as far as am concerned bars are not yet allowed to operate and our patrols have always been not hard handed they even come and talk to people they say close and leave at curfew time but some people try to disrupt their work, so i want to use this opportunity to warn such characters that its very dangerous to try disrupt security legal operation” Kakunguru said.
Kakunguru has denied allegations of having some soldiers in UPDF detaches in Karamonja region that are working with cattle rustlers to steal people’s animals.
He says they have managed to recover about 88 guns and 925 rounds of arm missions since the 15th of July 2021 to date in the on going disarmament exercise.
