The 10 days which were given to the parliament committee of gender to process amendment in the NSSF amendment bill 2021 have elapsed with no work done which have frustrated servers.
The committee chaired by kyegegwa district woman MP Flavia Kabahide inserted plans to hearing this week after summoning the ministry of gender, labour and social development.
“We shall hear from the National union disabled persons of Uganda and also the higher counsel for people living with a disability they will tell us what their opinion is and why in the earlier it had come in and whether we should let it go or we bring it back and the fourth contention was about who supervises the funds ministry of gender or ministry of Finance, his excellence is of the view that ministry of finance supervises the funds”,Kabahide said.
The NSSF amendment bill 2021 was tabled before the parliament on 29 September following a public huge applaud from the public, although the speaker of parliament Jacob Olanyah directed the committee of gender to first rap on the bill and get it done in 10days. The bill was left to the committee and 10 days elapsed with no work done.

Kabahide notes they are only going to reconsider the proposal closest to which the president wants to be changed.
