Aviation police at Entebbe Airport have arrested two people for allegedly vending grasshoppers aboard on Uganda airline flight.
In a video that went viral on social media were an identified man was seen vending grasshoppers that he had stuck in a polyethene bag to passengers in economy class of Uganda airlines to Dubia on Friday.
According to police spokesperson Fred Enanga , Aviation authority have the two people including Paul Mubiru the man who was seen vending the grasshoppers and Habib Kiguddu who was captured on a video were arrested.
Enanga notes that well as grasshoppers are not prohibited on the airline the two went a head and opened the polyethene bag where they started vending the grasshoppers which caused excitement among other passengers but also destructed others.
He says well as one of flight attendants asked Mubiru to stop the act of vending from the aircraft he disregarded the advice.
Enanga says the two have been charged with being common nuisance, disobeying lawful orders and negligence behavior which is likely to cause infectious disease.
