Bars and clubs in Kampala and surrounding areas are spending heavily on renovations in preparation of operations next week.
Bars and night clubs have spent nearly two years out of business after president Museveni closed bars and social gatherings in March 2020 as part of Covid 19 containment measures.
In his new year address president Museveni announced full reopening of the economy he said all entertainment spots would resume normal operations on the 24th January 2022.
Deogratius Matovu the manager of Vox Louge said most of the equipment like television sets, sound systems, lights and work’s uniforms were destroyed by mouse . He says the need are not less than 15 million shillings to replace the furniture and carryout renovation work.
Daniel Lwasa the business manager at the iconic club Nexus in Najjera says they need about 100 million shillings for repairs, renovations and replacement of spoilt equipment.
